Forty years ago four Black men released an album with yellow matching packaging. Bad Brains had been banned in DC at several locations, yet with PMA went on to inspire the world. The eponymous debut of Bad Brains wasn't the first time Black punk rockers grabbed the attention of listeners, but it was a beacon for what was to come.
